 The Internet is a global network of computer networks. Each of these networks contains thousands of computers together using special rules called protocols

When computers are connected to the Internet they are able to communicate and share information

Computers that are connected to the Internet communicate with each other using a protocol or special language called TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol). TCP/IP defines how information moves among computers on the Internet
